Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how PATTTTERNS ("we", "us", or "our"), operated by Pablo Armen, collects, uses, and protects information when you visit patttterns.com.

1. Information We Collect

Account data (optional)

When you sign in with Google, we receive from your Google account:

  • Email address
  • Display name
  • Profile photo URL

This data is processed by Supabase (our auth and database provider) and stored in your browser's localStorage for the duration of your session. We do not store passwords.

Bookmarks

If you save patterns, your bookmarks are synced to our Supabase database and associated with your user account. Bookmarks are linked to your user ID, not to personally identifying information beyond what is listed above.

Usage & analytics data

We use the following third-party analytics tools that automatically collect data about your visit:

  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — collects page views, events (e.g. bookmark interactions, search queries), approximate location (country/city), device type, and referral source. Data is processed by Google under their Privacy Policy.
  • Hotjar — records mouse movements, clicks, scrolls, and session replays to help us understand how visitors use the site. No personally identifiable information is captured. Data is processed by Hotjar under their Privacy Policy.

Log data

Our hosting provider, Netlify, may automatically collect server-side log data including IP addresses, browser user agents, and request timestamps for security and reliability purposes. See Netlify's Privacy Policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To authenticate you and maintain your session
  • To save and sync your bookmarked patterns across devices
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it
  • To detect and prevent abuse or security issues

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising.

3. Cookies & Local Storage

We do not set first-party cookies for authentication. Your session is stored in localStorage. Third-party services (Google Analytics, Hotjar) may set cookies on your device. You can opt out of these via your browser settings or tools like Google Analytics Opt-out and Hotjar Opt-out.

4. Data Retention

Account and bookmark data is retained as long as your account exists. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us (see below). Analytics data is retained according to the policies of Google Analytics and Hotjar.

5. Third-Party Services

The following third-party services process data on our behalf:

  • Supabase — authentication and database hosting. Privacy Policy

7. Children's Privacy

PATTTTERNS is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
